RC Lens midfielder Mamadou Sangaré (23) could reunite with his former manager, Pierre Sage, at Crystal Palace, as per a report from Sky Sports.

Sangaré arrived at Lens last summer and excelled in what was his – and Sage’s – only season at Lens. He helped the club to a second-place finish in Ligue 1 and to a maiden Coupe de France title, however, like Sage, he could leave this summer.

Foot Mercato reported earlier in June that the Mali international was the subject of intense Premier League interest, with Manchester United reportedly readying a bid. Les Sang et Or value the midfielder at €40m.

However, a move to Selhurst Park is also a possibility, as per Sky Sports. Sage was appointed Crystal Palace’s new manager earlier this month and the Premier League side are also considering a move for Sangaré. Another player in Ligue 1, Toulouse FC’s Charlie Cresswell, is also a target.
