Léo Pereira has been called up by Brazil for the March friendlies and celebrated the milestone on social media. The Flamengo centre-back marked the news with an emotional message.
The federation announced the squad on Monday, confirming his inclusion for the upcoming matches.
He described the moment as an indescribable feeling and a dream realised for him, his family and those who have supported his career. He also thanked Flamengo, club staff and team-mates, saluted the Nação and expressed his faith.
It is the defender’s first senior call after previously appearing only on a provisional list. Carlo Ancelotti was at Estádio Nilton Santos when he scored a superb free-kick against Botafogo.
Brazil face France on 26 March at Gillette Stadium in Boston. They then meet Croatia on 31 March at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, also in the United States.
With Léo Pereira available, Flamengo play Remo on Thursday, 19, at the Maracanã at 20:00 Brasília time in the Campeonato Brasileiro.
