Léo Pereira outlines ambition for Brazil role and more trophies with Flamengo

Léo Pereira says his aim stretches beyond Flamengo, with the defender targeting a long-term role for Brazil and further trophies.

According to Coluna Do Fla, he wants to keep evolving and stay consistent, which he believes leads to national team chances and titles. He also spoke of an ambition to make history at Flamengo and to win more.

Flamengo signed Léo Pereira from Athletico-PR in January 2020 for six million euros, R$ 27.7 million at the time, when he was 23.

His first Brazil call-up came in the last FIFA window before the 2026 World Cup, and the national coach praised him. There is a chance Danilo and Léo Pereira go to the tournament.

With the defender available, Flamengo focus on their next test, against Vasco on Sunday three at 16:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã, in the 14th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
