Flamengo visit Estudiantes on Wednesday 29 in the Libertadores group stage, with Leonardo Jardim able to welcome De La Cruz back to his squad.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the midfielder returns after missing the match against Atlético-MG due to physical difficulties on Arena MRV’s synthetic surface. The break also gave him extra time to recover from a heavy run of games.

He is now an option for Flamengo’s midfield in La Plata. Jardim remains without Erick Pulgar and Lucas Paquetá for Wednesday’s game.

De La Cruz is competing for a starting berth with Evertton Araújo and Jorginho. The pair started in Sunday 26’s 4-0 victory over Atlético-MG.

Kick-off is at 21:30 Brasília time at Estádio Jorge Luis Hirschi in La Plata.
