Lewandowski vs Ferran: Hansi Flick speaks on Barcelona’s striker battle after Valencia | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick provided an insight into the ongoing battle for starter status as his attacking spearhead in the aftermath of the club’s latest outing.

This of course comes fresh off a notable development in the situation on Sunday night.

Ferran Torres was afforded his 4th successive start to open the campaign, as Barcelona played host to Valencia.

After the Spaniard failed to add to his two goals for the campaign, Robert Lewandowski was then introduced to proceedings during the 2nd-half.

And the latter wasted little time in providing a reminder of his elite goalscoring abilities, notching a brace off the bench.

Ahead of Barcelona’s European opener against Newcastle United this week, Hansi Flick, in turn, was drawn on the current centre-forward pecking order in his squad.

And the German tactician went on to explain:

“We have a fantastic team and there will be games for everyone. The unit has been fantastic in every position. The three points are perfect, and for me it’s great to have to choose between Ferran and Lewandowski . I’m very happy to have such quality players in this position. It’s about the team.”
