Newcastle United have announced that Lewis Miley has penned a new contract with the club to keep him at St James' Park until at least 2032.

Miley, who turned 20 at the start of this month, has been at the club's academy since the age of seven and was the club's youngster ever Premier League player when he came on against Chelsea at the age of 17 on the final day of the 2022/23 season.

Since then, Miley has gone on to feature 80 times for the Magpies, chipping in with six goals and eight assists as well as lifting the League Cup last season.

"I'm really pleased to sign this new contract and commit my future here. It's a dream to be representing Newcastle United, so this is a proud moment for me," Miley said on penning his new contract with the club.

"I'm really grateful to everybody who has played a part in helping me get to where I am today, especially the support of my family and the trust that the club has put in me from such a young age.

"It's been an amazing journey so far and I'm so excited for what's ahead. I'm now working hard every day to get back on the pitch even stronger next season and start to repay the faith that has been shown in me."

Miley featured 34 times for Newcastle United in all competitions this season but suffered a broken leg in training that has seen him miss his side's final games of the campaign.
