Liam Rosenior is ready to offer a Chelsea lifeline to exiled duo Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi.
Sterling has not played forChelsea since May 2024 and endured an underwhelming loan spell at Arsenal last season. The 31-year-old turned down offers to leave Chelsea last summer with the winger wanting to remain in London.
Disasi has also been excluded from the main group. The French centre-back spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa and has not featured for the West Londoners since January of last year.
Both players failed to secure moves away in the summer, after being informed that they did not feature in the plans of former manager Enzo Maresca.Sterling and Disasi have trained away from the Chelsea squad this season.
"They areChelsea players, but at the moment they are training separately and the plan is to continue in this way," Maresca said on the situation.
"Since the season started, I haven't seen either of them. I haven't seen Axel or Raheem. They train at a different time and on a different pitch. I haven't seen them since the start of the season."
However, Rosenior has said he will speak to both players before making a decision on their future.
The 41-year-old said he has huge respect for the duo and has offered each a potential lifeline at Stamford Bridge.
"I will have conversations with them. We're in January, as you know," he said at a pre-match press conference ahead of the club'sCarabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal.
"Raheem's had an outstanding career. I've got huge respect for him. Axel is someone I've really, really liked as a player for a long time.
"Honestly, I have to have a conversation with them. I have to have a conversation with the club. I'm being genuinely honest. I have got to work through a list of priorities and I will do in the next few days."
