Lille close in on deal for Lucas Chevalier’s replacement | OneFootball

Lille OSC are close to finding their successor to Lucas Chevalier (23), following the France international completing his move to Paris Saint-Germain, as per information from Foot Mercato.

Lille are reportedly nearing an agreement with Eyüpspor Kulübü for the signing of Berke Özer (25) on a €4.5m transfer (with bonuses of €500,000), with the goalkeeper set to travel this afternoon to Lille.Özer became a Turkish international this year when he made his debut for the national side during a friendly against the USA.

He’ll have big shoes to fill if he completes his move to Les Dogues. Chevalier was a fan favourite in the north, having been born in the city and then joining the club as a thirteen-year-old. Chevalier was one of the stars of Lille’s run to the UEFA Champions League knockout rounds, with the club being eliminated in the Last 16 by Borussia Dortmund.
