Lille host Lens in Ligue 1 at Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Saturday, 4 April 2026, with the visitors sitting second and the hosts fifth as both target European qualification.
Lens arrive as the division's nearest challengers to leaders Paris Saint-Germain, and they won the reverse fixture 3-0 in September. Lille occupy the Europa League place and have taken seven points from their past three league games to stay in the mix.
Recent league form is solid on both sides. Lille beat Rennes and Marseille either side of a draw with Lorient, while Lens have three wins in four, including a 5-1 home victory over Angers, despite a setback at Lorient.
Selection could matter. Lille list Benjamin Andre and Hamza Igamane among their absentees. Lens are without Jonathan Gradit, Ruben Aguilar and Wesley Said, reducing defensive and attacking options.
The visitors have combined punch and control this season: 54 league goals scored, only 24 conceded, and 10 clean sheets. Odsonne Edouard leads their scoring with 12 league goals, while Adrien Thomasson is the league's top provider with eight assists, supported by Florian Thauvin and Florian Sotoca between the lines. Lille may look to lean on 54% average possession and threat from wide, with Felix Correia providing five league assists and Hakon Arnar Haraldsson offering a direct goal threat.
A win could help Lens tighten their grip on second and keep pressure on the leaders. Victory for Lille would strengthen their European push and could edge them closer to the Champions League places.
