Lionel Messi arrives in Rosario to rest with his family

Lionel Messi has arrived in Rosario with his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, and their children Thiago, Mateo and Ciro, for a short family break before resuming club duties.

Agencia Noticias Argentinas reports that his private jet landed at around 6:20, after which the family headed to their home in the city, where they will stay until returning to the United States.

He did not fly back to Ezeiza on Monday with the rest of Argentina’s delegation. After the 2026 World Cup final he travelled from New York to Miami, then took a private flight on to Rosario.

Once his break ends, Messi will rejoin Inter Miami to continue in official competition.

Rodrigo De Paul was the only other squad member who did not travel with Lionel Scaloni’s group, and he also lives in Miami.
