PSG are in Year 3 of the Luis Enrique era, and as the seasons have gone by, the Parisians have molded the squad into his vision. Moreover, the Spanish manager made cutthroat decisions that have led to the Parisians’ success.
When the capital club decided to hire Enrique, PSG let Lionel Messi walk as a free agent. The Argentine would leave to join Inter Miami and continue his career in the United States. Meanwhile, the Spanish boss also cut ties with Neymar Jr. and Marco Verratti.
Although these decisions were a surprise, time proved the former Barcelona manager right. Additionally, in 2024, Enrique would be okay with moving on from Kylian Mbappé, who left as a free agent for Real Madrid.

After PSG defeated Stade Brestois 3-0 on Saturday, Brest manager Eric Roy stated how far the Parisians have come from only relying on individual talent to being a collective unit that’s a machine.
“I can assure you it’s much harder to face PSG than to go to the dentist,” Roy said (h/t Le10Sport). “And it hurts a lot more. Because when I see my players chasing the ball, I’m running with them, suffering with them.”
“Three or four years ago, when we played against PSG, I used to tell my players: There are great individual talents, we’ll need to be careful, but at any moment, we can compete. Today, while preparing, I kept asking myself for a long time: ‘What can I possibly say to make them believe we can compete?'”
