Joao Gomes is attracting interest from several leading Premier League sides ahead of the summer window, with Manchester City among those monitoring him. TEAMtalk reports that Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, City and Tottenham are tracking the Wolves midfielder.
Liverpool and United are said to be ready to step up their efforts, while Napoli have also been linked recently.
Wolves’ likely relegation would almost certainly mean he leaves, and for less than his market value.
Gomes, a £15 million signing, has previously suggested he would like to play for Liverpool one day. United’s interest has been well documented, particularly with Casemiro leaving at the end of the season.
City are said to have made an enquiry, having dealt with Wolves on multiple occasions in recent years and taken a couple of his former team-mates to the Etihad. Whether they follow up remains to be seen, but growing competition could strengthen Wolves’ hand on price.
