In a recent report, Tuttomercatoweb mentioned that Liverpool are keeping a keen eye on Roma full-back Zeki Celik. It has been stated that the Reds are hoping to get a deal done for the Turkish talent when his contract at the Italian club runs out next summer.
Celik has enjoyed a decent run of form at Roma in this campaign so far as he has produced a series of solid displays on the right side of their defence. The 28-year-old has registered one goal and three assists in 29 matches for the Italian club this season in all competitions.
The Turkish talent is currently among the most reliable full-backs in Serie A. Hence, it is no wonder that the Reds are hoping to bring him on board this summer.
His current contract at the Italian club will run out at the end of this campaign. Therefore, Liverpool could potentially sign him on a free transfer in this off-season.

Celik loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is a good passer of the ball.
The Turkish sensation can chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals from the right flank. Celik is primarily a right-back but can also fill in as a centre-back or as a right wing-back if needed. However, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds want to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.
We can expect Celik to add more bite and steel to Liverpool boss Arne Slot’s defence. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming years.
At 28, Celik is playing in his prime, which makes him a worthy target for the Reds to pursue this summer. Furthermore, he is currently on an expiring contract, so he will be an affordable option for the Reds to consider at the end of this campaign.
