In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Liverpool are monitoring the situation of Real Madrid star Federico Valverde. It is understood that the Reds are eyeing a move to bring the Uruguay international to Merseyside at the end of this season.
Valverde is having a decent campaign at the Madrid club as he has put in a series of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The Uruguayan talent has scored nine goals and picked up 13 assists in 48 matches for Real Madrid this season across all fronts.
The 27-year-old is currently one of the best central midfielders in La Liga. Hence, it is no surprise that the Reds are keeping tabs on him ahead of the summer transfer window.
His current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Liverpool to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Valverde is a solid tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer as well.
The Uruguay international is an energetic runner with the ball and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net. Valverde can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from midfield. He is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a right winger or as a right-back if asked to do so.
However, it remains to be seen whether Valverde can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League. We can expect him to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool boss Arne Slot’s midfield. The Uruguayan talent has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club over the next few seasons.
At 27, Valverde is about to enter his prime, which makes him a dream option for the Reds to consider in the upcoming transfer window.
