Liverpool are always looking for the most talented youngsters around.
The winter window saw defensive reinforcements - including Mor Talla Ndiaye and an agreement for both Ifeanyi Ndukwe and Jeremy Jacquet - and the summer could see Richard Hughes add young talents to the attacking ranks too.
The Premier League champions could do with a new winger with Mohamed Salah set to leave and Cody Gakpo not looking as effective as last season.
Instead of adding Yan Diomande or Bradley Barcola - both of whom have been linked with an Anfield arrival - Liverpool could once again take the Porto route.
The club had great success in signing Luis Diaz from Porto in 2022 - with the Colombian’s 13 goals steering Liverpool to their 20th top-flight title last term.
And a new emerging star at Porto has captivated Europe’s elites - with Oskar Pietuszewski surely destined for the biggest stage.
The 17-year-old only joined Porto in January on an €8m deal from Jagiellonia Białystok in Poland. The teenage prodigy inked a contract until 2029 - the maximum duration allowed owing to his age.
Meczyki is now reporting that the Dragons are preparing to extend his deal as soon as next summer in a bid to ward off interest from Premier League giants as well as Atletico Madrid.
