Liverpool are reportedly close to reaching an agreement for a massive transfer.
The January transfer window has only been open for a few days and the Reds are making big moves.
It's recently been suggested that a new senior centre-back could be coming through the door in the form of Joel Ordonez from Club Brugge who could bolster the Arne Slot's stocks of defenders.
However, it's now been revealed that another player is being targeted for a move to Merseyside and talks to confirm their transfer appear to be nearing the final stages. He's an extraordinary talent.
According to James Pearce at The Athletic, the 17-year-old defender at Austria Vienna is on the verge of completing a transfer to join Liverpool in July for the start of the club's pre-season.

Fabrizio Romano has also given his 'Here We Go' and it's expected that he'll cost around €3m-€5m.
He would join the under-21 squad in the academy and spend time developing before Slot considers him for promotion to the first-team set-up, he's that special a talent.
Most recently, Ndukwe was included in Austria's international squad for the Under-17 World Cup, which his side unfortunately finished runners-up in. Nonetheless, the performances he delivered throughout the campaign were extraordinary, helping to concede just two goals in seven games.
One of his biggest strengths as a centre-back is his height. At 6ft 5ins (196cm), he's remarkably tall for his age and if he were to join the Reds he'd become the tallest player in Merseyside, surpassing players like Virgil Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Giovanni Leoni and Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Anfield Watch's own Ben Bocsak noted on X that Ndukwe is a player who can rise to the occasion, imposing himself on matches by making a lot of blocks, interceptions and getting his body in the way.
Most young players have weaknesses in their game, and the Austrian's is his decision-making, occasionally coming out for the ball when he's not required to, but his stature does not impact his speed, which is one of his many get-out-of-jail cards. The potential he's got is phenomenal.
If the Reds can successfully complete his transfer, he could be one of the statement moves of 2026, much like Rio Ngumoha leaving Chelsea in 2024 was. These kind of players don't come very often.
