One of the players who could benefit the most from Liverpool's arrival is Lewis Koumas. The youngster is a special talent and he enjoyed a solid debut season in senior football while on loan at Stoke City.

The season prior to that, Koumas broke through into the first team at Liverpool and even netted at Anfield on his debut in the FA Cup against Southampton.

Koumas' brilliant performances at the time made Page take notice, who was still managing Wales at this point. Page called Koumas into the senior team and handed the Liverpool youngster his debut.

"How can I ignore it when he has done what he has done for Liverpool in the first team. It would be foolish of me to ignore him" Page told BBC about Koumas at the time.

Page has been brought in to help Liverpool's young players make the bridge from U21 football into the senior team. The main reason for that was his track-record for Wales.

During his time with the national team, Page handed debuts to key players like Koumas, Brennan Johnson and Jordan James. He also helped Ethan Ampadu and Neco Williams become mainstays in the national team at a young age as well.

Coming into Liverpool he will be given the same task, and one of his first projects could be Koumas, who he already knows well and understands what a special talent he is.

For Koumas, working alongside a manager who trusts and knows him could be the push he needs to fulfil his potential and make that leap into first team football at Anfield.
