David Coote is under investigation by the Premier League after a video leaked that appears to show him insulting Liverpool. The referee has been suspended pending that investigation.

The Mirror reports that while Coote originally claimed the man in the video wasn't him, he's now admitted that it is. This is after the Premier League had 'tech experts' analyse the video as a possible deepfake.

In a bizarre twist, however, Coote says he doesn't remember making that video. That's a curious claim, given the man in the video plainly knows he's on camera and even addresses the video at one point, saying it mustn't get out.

With Liverpool at the centre of the alleged controversy the club have now made a response according to Liverpool reporter David Lynch.

Taking to his social media account, Lynch wrote: "Liverpool are aware of the video doing the rounds on social media today but will not be making comment while the PGMOL conduct their investigation into the matter."

Given that the matter is under investigation it makes sense for Liverpool not to respond.

Everything depends on what the outcome of the investigation will be. For now, it's difficult to verify the authenticity of the video and Coote has seemingly denied the allegations.

Liverpool were dealt a serious blow on Saturday night when Trent Alexander-Arnold suffered a suspected hamstring injury in the Premier League game against Aston Villa.

With crunch matches against Real Madrid in the Champions League and Manchester City in the top flight coming up shortly after the international window, the Reds are now sweating on the fitness of one of their most important players.

The Times is reporting that Alexander-Arnold is set for an approximate two-week absence, meaning he is touch-and-go for the Premier League game against Southampton on November 24 - two weeks on from the injury at Anfield.

The Merseyside outfit are then in action against Real on November 27 before taking on City on December 1.

Speaking to The Herald, Ben Doak's fellow Scottish Middlesbrough teammate Tommy Conway praised the relationship the young pair have developed.

He said: "I think since Doaky's come into the club, I've put my arm around him, I've looked after him for a bit, but to be fair, he's taken to it like a duck to water.

"I can't say enough about him. He's what he is like on the pitch, off it as well. He's electric, he's always at it, the boy. Hopefully, we can take that onto the international stage and cause carnage there as well."

According to reports from Mfor.hu, a Hungarian news outlet, Szoboszlai's main interest outside of football is set to enter liquidation.

This is the process whereby the company is terminated without a legal successor, as part of a procedure to settle the company's outstanding debts from the available assets.

In this case it has been reported that NO debts are owed.

The Hungary captain founded DomiNation Esports in 2020, in an effort to spread a message to his country's people that with the right attitude and persistence, you can make anything happen.

However, after becoming a regular in the French national team in the lead-up to the tournament, Ibrahima Konate found he had been dropped in favour of his title rival, Saliba.

Speaking to Canal Football Club, as per FootMercato, he said: "It was hard from a private and personal point of view. But now William Saliba is a friend, he's like a brother to me, so when he was a starter, I talked to him and I said 'this is your moment, take it, I've played a lot of matches'.

"The performances he’s had at Arsenal recently, he deserves them too. I was happy for him.

"I know the ins and outs of why I wasn't a starter. I hadn’t played in the last few months, I lacked rhythm, and it showed in training. The coach [Didier Deschamps] told me that today, there are better players than me in this position. It was a big lesson for me."
