Mohamed Salah is no longer a Liverpool player.

The Reds’ icon called time on his Anfield career - with a deal reached to rip up his £400k per week contract one year early.

Salah’s exit opens up a slot in Liverpool’s attack - with the outgoing Premier League champions keen to add one-v-one quality in wide areas.

Victor Munoz has been signed from Osasuna but the Spain international is seen more as a left-sided option. That means new head coach Andoni Iraola and sporting director Richard Hughes still require a starting candidate on the right side of the attack.

Barcola being pushed out of PSG

A deal for Yan Diomande is now out of reach with the Ivorian preferring to join Paris Saint-Germain. If the RB Leipzig 19-year-old ends up at PSG this summer it could spell the end for another reported Liverpool target in Bradley Barcola.

Arsenal - along with Liverpool - have been touted as a potential destination for the 23-year-old French international. He is under contract until 2028 and has so far proven to be reluctant to sign a new deal.

Barcola is valued at around £116m by his French employers - putting him out of range for all clubs other than the very elite.

And Liverpool have received encouragement in the form of a report from the Daily Mail - which claims Barcola is ready to listen to what the Gunners as well as Liverpool have to say.

The report initially discusses the difficulties Arsenal are having in taking Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa before adding that Barcola could be a more achievable target.

“There have similarly been rumblings that Barcola is not available but the France international has been reluctant to agree new terms on a contract with PSG since last year and is aware they are working on adding RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande and Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco, another attacking midfielder,” the report reads.

“Barcola is understood to be open to listening what suitors such as Arsenal and Liverpool have to say.”

Barcola would listen to LFC offer

Barcola joined PSG from origin club Lyon back in 2023 - going on to enjoy great team successes under Luis Enrique.

The two-time Champions League winner is no longer a nailed-on starter however and with the acquisitions of Akliouche and Diomande in full swing he could fall even further down the pecking order.

Liverpool are long-term suitors and would offer the ideal platform for his talents.
