Liverpool have been handed a massive boost ahead of Saturday’s trip to Leeds United.
Right back Conor Bradley is back in full training after missing the last four games.
The Liverpool academy graduate, who is admired by Pep Guardiola, hasn’t featured for the Reds since the 3-0 defeat against Manchester City early last month.
He picked up an injury while on international duty with Northern Ireland, but is now in contention to face Leeds after completing training sessions with the rest of the Liverpool squad this week.
Manager Arne Slot delivered the update during his pre-match press conference, confirming that Bradley is expected to rejoin the matchday squad.
“I expect him to train today, and then he is available to be in the squad tomorrow,” Slot said.
Slot also confirmed that his side came through the 1-1 draw against Sunderland unscathed.
That includes Joe Gomez, who took a knock in the 2-1 victory against West Ham United but was declared fit enough to start the game in midweek.
“Joe Gomez got a knock in the West Ham game but was still able to start,” Slot added. “He couldn’t make the full 90 minutes, but I think he will be able to train again today.
“Yesterday was a recovery day for most of them – today we will train again, and let’s see where they are.”
Liverpool have struggled with defensive injuries this season. Bradley has had issues, and summer signing Jeremie Frimpong is still recovering from a hamstring problem.
Before Gomez returned from his extended injury lay-off, Slot was forced to use midfielders Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai to fill in at right back.
With Bradley back in the fold, both players will be able to return to their midfield duties.
Bradley has been an important player for Liverpool this season, making 14 appearances across all competitions.
The 22-year-old has struggled with consistency, and his recurring injuries haven’t helped his cause.
