Chelsea and Liverpool are among the clubs keen on Hugo Ekitiké, with the striker likely to leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer as PSG are set to receive 20 percent of any transfer fee due to a sell-on clause.
As previously reported by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea remain seriously interested in signing the 22-year-old.
“Hugo Ekitiké is really appreciated by Chelsea, he’s a player they really like, but at the moment the negotiation is not closed at all because Chelsea were asking for information to Eintracht Frankfurt about the player and their answer was that his asking price is €100m,” Romano noted.
“So, that is the price tag from Eintracht, and at the moment that’s too expensive for Chelsea. Let’s see if the price changes or if Chelsea will decide to change their strategies later in the market.”

On Monday, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported that Liverpool have done detailed scouting and gathered information on three clear targets as they look for a new No. 9: Ekitiké, Alexander Isak, and Victor Osimhen.
Ekitiké is said to be high on the list. The French striker understands that if he joins Liverpool, he’ll have to be patient, as the club needs to sell players before making any moves.
Arsenal are reportedly set to enter the race for Ekitiké, according to Bild. The 23-year-old is coming off an impressive season, scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions. Frankfurt are said to value him at around €100 million.
Ekitiké has already attracted interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea. But after missing out on RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško and Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres, Arsenal are now expected to step up their pursuit.
