Liverpool have been linked with their fair share of players already this summer.
Even though the Anfield outfit spent over £450 million last term, plenty more changes are needed before they can become competitive again.
Indeed, now that they have Andoni Iraola at the helm rather than Arne Slot, players might be more willing to join the club which could make negotiations an awful lot easier.
However, until the Spaniard is fully settled in, it's unlikely that any major moves will be made, especially since Iraola's style is the complete opposite of Slot's.
The Reds also have Champions League football this term which will make recruitment even easier.
And now, a potential Liverpool hijacking has been mooted.
Marcos Senesi has been one of the most consistent players to feature in Andoni Iraola's team during his two years at the club.
The Argentina international has changed centre-back partners more times than fans can remember but, that has never stopped him from proving his worth.
And, even though the former Feyenoord man may have led the Cherries to the Europa League, he's still decided to explore pastures new with an agreement for him to join Tottenham already in place, even though Liverpool were heavily linked.
However, with Iraola joining Liverpool and Ibrahima Konate leaving as a free agent, there have been some murmurings about the future of the defender.
And, in a fresh update from journalist Ben Jacobs, the future of the defender has been shared.
"It's basically all agreed with Tottenham, that's where we stand now," he said in quotes relayed by GiveMeSport.
"Spurs will obviously want to get everything signed and unveiled and announced as quickly as possible to avoid any surprises and was anything late, late late [in terms of a] hijack to change, I'll let you know.
"But those close to Senesi insist they have given their word to Tottenham."
Even though it's clear that Iraola is an outstanding manager, it's still a massive step-up from Bournemouth to Anfield.
The Spaniard has more than proven his worth during his time in the Premier League and he'll obviously want to hit the ground running.
But, for him to do this, he must ensure that he gets the signings he wants and that they can all adjust to his system as quickly as possible.
Senesi, who has been described as an "outstanding" player in the past would've been a perfect addition for the Spaniard.
He knows his system perfectly and, with a centre-back spot opening up, he'd have probably fit straight into his starting XI.
However, it clearly wasn't meant to be and, as long as he can sign three or four players, everything should be fine.
