Liverpool have reportedly moved into pole position in the race to sign Eduardo Camavinga, with the Real Madrid midfielder emerging as one of the most intriguing names ahead of the summer transfer window in 2026. According to TEAMtalk, the Merseyside club are actively exploring a deal, while several Premier League rivals remain firmly in the picture.
At just 23, Camavinga is already regarded as one of Europe’s most complete midfielders, and his potential availability has alerted multiple top clubs looking to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season.
Despite being a valued member of Real Madrid’s squad, Camavinga’s role at the Santiago Bernabéu has not always been guaranteed.
The French international has often been used as a rotational option, occasionally deployed out of position at left-back or in a deeper midfield role.
With Madrid continuing to evolve their midfield around younger stars such as Jude Bellingham and others, reports suggest the club could be open to serious offers in the region of £70 million.
While there is no urgency to sell, the Spanish giants are believed to be willing to listen if the right proposal arrives.
Importantly, Camavinga is understood to prefer a move to a club competing in the UEFA Champions League, a factor that could significantly shape the outcome of any transfer battle.

Liverpool’s interest is closely tied to their ongoing midfield rebuild. After multiple changes over the past few seasons, the club are keen to add a player who combines defensive intelligence, ball progression, and tactical versatility, qualities that Camavinga possesses in abundance.
Under their current project, Liverpool are prioritising players capable of operating in high-intensity systems, and Camavinga’s ability to press, recover possession, and drive forward with the ball makes him an ideal fit.
While Liverpool are believed to be leading the race, they face stiff competition. Manchester United and Chelsea have both reportedly made contact with the player’s representatives, signaling their intent to be part of the conversation.
United, in particular, are searching for midfield reinforcements amid uncertainty surrounding several senior players, while Chelsea continue to target young, high-upside talents as part of their long-term strategy.
