According to Bild Liverpool are in the chase to sign Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The German international has been in brilliant form over the course of the last two seasons. Brown is quick and he's very good going forward.
He makes things happen on the pitch, and definitely contributes in the final third. In many ways he is similar to Milos Kerkez and he's around the same age with Kerkez only a few months younger than Brown.
It would be interesting for Liverpool to make this move because you'd then have two players of similar quality. Kerkez is definitely ahead of Brown right now, he's got more proven Premier League experience.
But Brown maybe has more to offer going forward. Whereas Kerkez is the better one vs one defender.
It would give Slot options and the ability to rotate, which he hasn't really been able to do ever since he arrived at Anfield, or perhaps he has just been reluctant to do so because he doesn't trust the players at his disposal.
Brown could change that.
However, there are two major obstacles standing in Liverpool's way.
First, it's the incredible price tag on him. According to Bild's report, Frankfurt expect to sell him for €65m, which his a ridiculous fee.
It's far higher than Liverpool paid for Kerkez, who is the better player and who has Premier League experience.
On top of that, the report also claims that Arsenal and Manchester City are in the race for Brown's signature as well.
So, there will be plenty of competition.
