PSG have recently focused on bringing in top French talent, with Bradley Barcola, Desire Doue, and Lucas Chevalier among their latest additions.
Now, the club seems intent on strengthening its back line with another high-profile French defender. While there have been links to Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate, another possibility may be on the horizon.
Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano is set to become a free agent after the 2025-26 season, and PSG are reportedly one of several clubs keeping tabs on him. Still, any pursuit of Upamecano is expected to face stiff competition.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that multiple clubs are closely monitoring Upamecano’s situation, with several expected to be in the market for a defender this summer.
Romano added that Liverpool will likely be among those monitoring him, while PSG and Real Madrid could join the list of interested sides.
BILD has suggested that Bayern Munich’s partial progress in talks with Dayot Upamecano may not necessarily lead to a full agreement.
According to the report: “FC Bayern would like to extend Dayot Upamecano’s contract, which runs until the summer of 2026. However, discussions between the club and the player are proving challenging.”
