Liverpool are planning to sign Tottenham Hotspur starlet Archie Gray this summer.
Spurs have endured one of their worst Premier League campaigns and are battling to retain their top-flight status.
Tottenham are 18th in the league standings, two points from safety with five games remaining.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool could launch a move for Gray if Tottenham fail to beat the drop.
With Curtis Jones and Alexis Mac Allister facing uncertain futures at Anfield, the Reds need reinforcements.
Gray is a technically gifted player who is known for his energy, game intelligence and passing ability.
Tottenham paid around £40 million to sign him from Leeds United in 2024. He has made 80 appearances across all competitions for the club.
Gray has impressed this season, bagging two goals and two assists in 23 Premier League games.
Tottenham do not want to lose the 20-year-old, who can play in central midfield, at right-back or in defence.
He would be an excellent signing for Liverpool, but Spurs rate him very highly. Only a huge transfer fee could convince them to let him leave.
They may be wary of spending a hefty sum on a young player after the struggles of their major signings this season.
