According to L'Équipe, Liverpool have paid little attention to the LFP’s move to shift Lens v PSG from 11 April to 13 May, with energy fixed on their own form before the Champions League quarter-finals.
Arne Slot did not raise the postponement in his Friday press conference, and there has been no outcry from fans or former players. Former midfielder Danny Murphy was a rare dissenting voice, arguing the change disadvantaged Lens.
On Merseyside, the announcement surprised few and is not seen as something that could be replicated in England. It is accepted that asking the Premier League to move Liverpool’s match at Fulham on 11 April, 18:30, would go nowhere given opposition from leading clubs.
Many supporters are less concerned about Paris enjoying extra rest between the two legs, and more about inconsistency on the pitch and questions over Slot’s decision-making. Slot said on Friday that Alisson will miss the PSG ties.
With focus trained on immediate issues, Liverpool’s attention remains internal rather than on scheduling decisions in France.
