Liverpool are reportedly closing in on a deal for Puskas Akademia goalkeeper Armin Pecsi.
The 20-year-old travelled to England this week to negotiate his transfer with the Reds, per Nemzeti Sport.
Now reputed Fabrizio Romano is claiming Pecsi has said yes to their project and is set to join the Premier League giants soon.
Final negotiations between the two clubs are said to be progressing smoothly and a transfer could be announced as early as next week.
Pecsi enjoyed an excellent 2024-25 campaign at the Hungarian club, making 36 appearances across all competitions.
He conceded 43 goals and kept 11 clean sheets as his side finished second in the league.
Liverpool already have Alisson Becker as their first-choice goalkeeper, while Giorgi Mamardashvili will arrive this summer after the club agreed a £29 million deal with Valencia last year.
Pecsi will have to be patient as he is unlikely to get first-team opportunities under Arne Slot next season.
But given his huge potential, the Austrian-born footballer could develop into a future star at Anfield.
Liverpool have been very active in the ongoing transfer window.
They clinched the Premier League title in style but are refusing to rest on their laurels and looking to improve their squad for next season.
Slot’s side have been locked in negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen over a move for Florian Wirtz, who is keen on a move to Anfield.
The Merseyside titans are also in advanced talks with Bournemouth over the transfer of Milos Kerkez.
