Liverpool have no intention of launching a move for a Championship attacker they have been linked with, according to the Daily Mail.
With the January transfer window now here, clubs can again move in the market to make additions and snap up top prospects ahead of their rivals.
While Liverpool are not expected to do big business, they have shown they are willing to act in certain circumstances and especially if they fear losing out on a player.
The Reds have been heavily linked with wanting Sheffield United attacker Ryan One.
However, a move from Liverpool to sign the 18-year-old talent is rated as a non-starter.
One has made eight appearances in the Championship for Sheffield United this season and has already opened his goalscoring account, striking against Bristol City.
The Blades will be hoping to keep hold of the attacker and continue to develop him at Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United snapped up One from Scottish side Hamilton Academical, where he came through the youth set-up.
