RB Leipzig have rejected a €100 million Liverpool bid for Yan Diomande, Sky Germany reports. Liverpool are expected to return with an improved offer in the coming weeks.

The bid is understood to comprise €90 million up front and €10 million in bonuses. The Athletic first highlighted the approach for the 19-year-old, who is at the World Cup with Ivory Coast.

Fabrizio Romano has indicated Leipzig hope to keep the winger for another year. Any next proposal could exceed €120 million.

Whether that happens depends on how he performs at the tournament across the Atlantic.

Paris Saint-Germain are also in the running, and Ivory Coast face Germany on Saturday.
