A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has this week been linked with a move to England, with Liverpool.
The player in question? Robert Lewandowski.
Frontman Lewandowski is of course widely expected to bring a close to his time on the books of Barcelona this summer.
As much comes with the Pole’s contract terms set to expire upon the season’s close, ahead of his upcoming 38th birthday.
Despite his advancing years, Lewandowski has been linked with potential moves to a host of leading clubs from across Europe, still held in high regard amid a campaign which has seen the former Bayern Munich man find the net 18 times in all competitions.
And as alluded to above, on Thursday, one of the Premier League’s top sides have been urged to move for ‘Lewa’.
Speaking during an interview with Paddy Power, as cited by Diario Sport, ex-Liverpool goalscorer Peter Crouch revealed his take that:
“Lewandowski is a world-class player. He may not be that young anymore, but it would be a fantastic choice. It would be a much more than sensible signing. Liverpool should sign Lewandowski no matter what.”
