Mohamed Salah can now discuss a pre-contract agreement with any club, as his contract with Liverpool expires in June. As the new year begins, fresh reports have surfaced regarding Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in the 32-year-old forward.
L’Équipe recently reported that PSG had entered talks with Salah’s representatives, with the Egyptian international reportedly more open to a move to the French giants. This news has reignited speculation about a potential transfer to Paris.
However, PSG swiftly shut down the rumors, with a club spokesperson telling the French outlet, “It’s not true.” The report also suggests that Salah could be using the speculation to strengthen his position in contract negotiations with Liverpool.
According to Football Insider, Salah is pushing for a lucrative contract extension to keep him at Anfield until 2027, with the forward reportedly seeking an additional three years as part of the deal.

Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna reports that Salah’s priority is still to remain at Liverpool. While he continues negotiations for a new deal with the club, he is also in talks with PSG.
French journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin recently reported that Paris Saint-Germain are targeting Mohamed Salah for a summer move, with the club reportedly prepared to offer the Liverpool star a three-year contract worth €500,000 per week.
In contrast, Liverpool’s offer to extend Salah’s stay is said to be a two-year deal worth €400,000 per week, leaving the door open for PSG to make their move.
Salah is proving yet again why he’s one of Europe’s elite this season. The Liverpool forward has already racked up 20 goals and 17 assists in just 26 appearances across all competitions.
