Liverpool have already made a €100m transfer this summer in the form of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, whose deal might rise to a €133m fee if all of the add-ons end up being triggered.

And now the Reds are looking at the prospect of signing Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt, with an asking price being rumoured of around €100m, which would be the Reds' second high-cost move.

Of course, Liverpool had considered a move for Alexander Isak from Newcastle and his £120m fee (€138m) would have blown the others out of the water, but he is deemed to not be for sale right now.

But the amount they would have spent could still be listed on the balance sheet in the form of a transfer for Real Madrid's Rodrygo Goes, who is a target for the left-wing spot if Luis Diaz departs.

Liverpool enter the fight for Rodrygo

No, you aren't dreaming. Liverpool are in for a third transfer worth an absence amount of money.

According to ESPN Brazil, the Reds have opened talks for Rodrygo and the move would cost around €100m to complete, although no official offer has been made for the Brazilian as of yet.

The report adds that Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation, while Manchester City, Arsenal and PSG are also aware of a possible negotiation, so there is plenty of competition for his signature.

Whether he even decides to leave Madrid is still being debated, and clearer communication about his future is expected to come imminently, so that a plan for his future can be sketched out accordingly.
