This is an impressive rate and it's something Arne Slot is trying to work on as well. We've seen the emergence of Rio Ngumoha under him, who despite what anyone says has played a lot of minutes already considering his tender age.

There's an even more exciting generation coming through at the academy behind Ngumoha. Erik Farkas and Joshua Abe are the leading stars of this generation, with both of them already making a number of appearances for the U18s. The former has already debuted for the U19s as well - despite only being an U16 player.

Behind them Vincent Joseph is yet to make a debut for the U18s but it feels like a matter of time now.

The youngster has recently netted a hat-trick for England at U16 level, taking his tally to six goals in four games on the international stage for the Three Lions.

That's a really impressive return, and it's one that is sure to catch the attention of the academy staff. Joseph has been scoring goals for fun at academy level for years.

This season he has dominated the U16s, and has been unfortunate to not play as many games with Josh Sonni-Lambie ahead of him in the pecking order for the U18s.

Obviously, there's a contract situation that is brewing with Joseph, just like it is with Farkas and Abe.

His current contract expires at the end of the season. Unlike Farkas and Abe, Joseph has not yet been offered pre-pro contract terms.

But he is now surely edging towards that massive offer. At this rate Liverpool cannot possibly ignore him.

If the Reds do not end up making that offer, someone else will. Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and a number of German clubs like Borussia Dortmund are all thought to be very interested in the young forward, who has been at the club since U9 level.

Liverpool simply cannot afford to let him go. So, that offer must be in the works.
