Reds dealt injury concern to key midfielder ahead of visit of Tractor Boys
Liverpool have been dealt an injury concern ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Ipswich.
The Reds are hosting the Tractor Boys at Anfield and will be strong favourites to at least maintain their lead atop the Premier League table.
Arne Slot’s side beat Lille 2-1 in the Champions League earlier this week to progress into the knockout rounds in relatively serene fashion.
Still, Curtis Jones was forced off with injury against the French outfit.
After the game, Slot said: “There was a moment in the game where he felt [something] and he said let's play for five more minutes and then see how it is, but [then] he said he had to go off at half-time."
Diogo Jota picked up a knock during the 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest last week and isn’t expected back here, while Joe Gomez is still recovering from a hamstring injury suffered against West Ham last month.
The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo were all rested against Lille and could return for the Ipswich game.
