Arne Slot set for one big selection decision for huge clash at Anfield
Arne Slot faces a big call over whether to bring Curtis Jones back into the Liverpool side for their huge Premier League showdown with Manchester City at Anfield.
Jones has not started since the 1-1 draw with Burnley on January 17 but could help strengthen Liverpool in midfield alongside Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch.
That would mean in-form Florian Wirtz moving into the front three and Cody Gakpo dropping to the bench.
But there is no pressing need to change much from last weekend’s impressive 4-1 win against Newcastle so Slot could name an unchanged side.

Dominik Szoboszlai is set to continue at right-back, with Jeremie Frimpong still out with his groin injury and Joe Gomez not ready to start.
Hugo Ekitike will again lead the line.
Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate will be at centre-back and Milos Kerkez will be at left-back.
Slot said on Friday that he hoped Gomez could be on the bench after two games out with a knock.
“With Joe, we have a little bit of hope that he might train Saturday,” said Slot. “So, not available to start but maybe available to help the team if needed during the game because, as you already know, there are not that many defenders available at the moment.”
Conor Bradley, Alexander Isak and Giovanni Leoni all remain sidelined.
Predicted Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Szoboszlai, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Jones, Mac Allister; Salah, Ekitike, Wirtz
Injured: Isak, Frimpong, Bradley, Leoni
