Inter have identified Liverpool’s Curtis Jones as the primary candidate to replace Davide Frattesi, who is on the verge of completing a move to Nottingham Forest.

According to Sky Sport, as relayed by FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have opened direct talks with the Premier League side to secure the English midfielder. Jones has already expressed his interest in a move to the San Siro and has given his initial approval to the transfer.

The 25-year-old is now waiting for Liverpool to give the final green light to the operation. The deal is closely linked to the exit of Frattesi. With the Italian midfielder having already sanctioned his move to Forest, Inter are working quickly to ensure Cristian Chivu is not left light in the middle of the park.
