Liverpool and Arne Slot have an incredible new formation on the way. We honestly can't wait.
Arne Slot came into Liverpool and made one major formation change. He flipped the midfield triangle, essentially, moving away from one sitting midfielder to one advanced midfielder.
Jurgen Klopp preferred the opposite. He'd have one holding player who remained disciplined and allowed for two midfielders in front of him to have a bit more freedom in where they positioned themselves.

The new way basically gives one player more licence than the other two. The attacking midfielder can go wherever he pleases and press from the front, knowing there are two players covering for him.
The change worked, of course, as Liverpool went on and won the Premier League. This season has seen a slight deviation, though, as Dominik Szoboszlai moves out of the no.10 role for Florian Wirtz.
Wirtz is a much more attacking player than Szoboszlai. He's there to be a creative force, rather than a versatile midfielder like the Hungarian.
Has the change worked? It's difficult to say. Liverpool have won every Premier League game but Wirtz himself hasn't had the direct impact they'd have hoped for, even if he has played well.
But it's early days. Wirtz still needs time to adapt to a massive change in environment, while the team needs to adapt to him, too.
What's particularly interesting, though, is that this is only one part of the change this season. There's another slight shift in formation coming - and it's a very exciting one.
Liverpool made waves this summer as they went on a spending spree. Wirtz was a massive part of that, of course, but the most notable situation was with strikers.
The Reds paid a lot of money to sign Hugo Ekitiké from Eintracht Frankfurt. Then they went and spent considerably more money on Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
Now Liverpool boast two of the most talented no.9s in European football. They've bought them at the same time for what is, on paper, only one position.
But some reports this week suggest a new idea is on the way. Both The Times and The Telegraph mentioned last week that Liverpool were very impressed by Ekitiké's ability to play in a deeper role last season.
He did this at Frankfurt behind Omar Marmoush, who had a sensational six months before joining Manchester City in January. Ekitiké became the star man after that but his excellent start to the campaign came in a partnership where he was the deeper player - and the secondary striker.
This explains why Liverpool were so confident in signing Ekitiké despite their grand plans to spend even more money on a player in the same position. The pair can play together.
Exactly how Liverpool intend to make that happen with Wirtz in the team is less clear. Will it be a diamond with the German behind both of them? If so, where does Mo Salah play?
Or perhaps Wirtz moves left and it's more of a 4-2-4 formation? Maybe Ekitiké plays from the left as a wide-striker, allowing Salah into the team and it's Cody Gakpo who drops out.
Right now, we don't really know what Slot's plan is. Perhaps it's all of the above, with different formations showing up for different scenarios.
And so all we do know is that there are new formations on the way as Slot utilises an incredible array of attacking options. Things are about to get even more fun.
