Liverpool's Salah replacement is a dribble monster: He will get fans out of their seats

The 33-year-old has announced his impending exit - and he will be leaving the club on a free transfer one year before his contract was due to expire.

Focus has immediately turned to which player might be brought into the club to replace the Egyptian King. Arne Slot could do with a top-quality addition on the right wing because Federico Chiesa is out of favour and Jeremie Frimpong isn’t an exact stylistic match.

To replace Salah would require the Premier League champions bringing in a left-footed option on the right side. That’s why links to Michael Olise and Rayan make sense - left-footed players who can both score and create goals.

Slot would ideally like a dribbler - one who can excel in one-v-ones. Liverpool have missed that quality on the wings this season - with Rio Ngumoha only given the occasional moment to show what he can do.

Francisco Conceicao is a one-v-one specialist

Wingers with dribbling quality can make all the difference and now one of the very best dribblers around is on Liverpool’s list of Salah replacements.

Francisco Conceicao, 23, completes on average 2.6 dribbles per game for Juventus per FOTMOB - the second-best total in Serie A. The Portugal international can also boast a 55.7 percent dribble success rate.

According to transfer journalist Fabrice Hawkins the left-footer is now on the radar to replace Salah.

Alongside some familiar faces - including Michael Olise, Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola - the UEFA Nations League champion is very much of interest to Reds’ recruiters.

Liverpool add Conceicao to the list

“Liverpool is preparing for Mohamed Salah's succession,” the report reads.

“The club is targeting two wingers for next season. Michael Olise is at the top of ALL short-lists of major European clubs, but Bayern Munich doesn't want to see him leave.

“Several youngsters like Yann Diomandé or Francisco Conceição are being monitored.

“Last year, the Reds had shown interest in the Parisian Bradley Barcola, who is currently in negotiations with PSG to extend his contract, which runs until 2028.

“Discussions being closely followed by the big clubs, on the lookout in case of an unfavorable outcome.”

Conceicao initially joined Juventus on loan from Porto for the 2024/25 season and made his deal permanent in summer 2025.

The explosive wideman is under contract at the Juventus Stadium until 2030. He is a proper winger - one who would no doubt get fans out of their seats at Anfield.
