Ethan Brierley put in another impressive performance for Exeter City as they beat Halifax Town 2-0 in the FA Cup first round on Saturday.

The midfielder, who is on a season-long loan with the Grecians, has started every League One game this term, and continued that with another 90 minutes in the cup victory over the National League side.

That comes after Brierley's assist in the Devon derby against Plymouth Argyle last week, when Gary Caldwell's side won 2-0, leaving them 18th in the third tier.

Elsewhere in the FA Cup, Ben Krauhaus recorded an assist as Bromley lost 2-1 to Bristol Rovers. That was Krauhaus's 15th appearance of the season and his third goal contribution for the League Two side, who sit 11th.

Wigan Athletic head coach Ryan Lowe revealed that Ryan Trevitt will likely be out until 2026 with a thigh injury.

On the midfielder, who has missed the Lactics' last five games, Lowe said: "He’s going to be out for a while, probably after January, definitely, but we wish him all the best with that recovery.

"It’s obviously a repair of a thigh injury, so he has had that repaired because there was a tear in there, so we wish him all the best.”

In Scotland, Jayden Meghoma played 90 minutes in Rangers' extra-time League Cup defeat to Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday. The left-back was taken off at 1-1, before Danny Röhl's side were beaten 3-1 at Celtic Park.

Meghoma has missed just one game for Rangers since joining on loan, playing 14 times, including three appearances in the Europa League.

Tony Yogane made his 13th appearance for Dundee, as they were beaten 4-0 by Motherwell over the weekend. He was an unused substitute when Steven Pressley's side recently beat Celtic 2-0.

Ji-soo Kim came off the bench for Kaiserslautern in their 1-1 draw with Fortuna Düsseldorf. That was the centre-back's 10th appearance in 2. Bundesliga, as they currently sit sixth, four points off the automatic promotion spots to the German top flight.

Benjamin Fredrick was part of the Dender side that narrowly lost to Belgian giants Club Brugge on Saturday. The defender played 90 minutes in the 2-1 defeat, which was his 13th game in the league's top flight this campaign.
