Lookman completes Atletico Madrid move from Atalanta | OneFootball

Ademola Lookman has completed a permanent move to Atletico Madrid from Atalanta on a deal to June 2030.

He travelled to Madrid on Sunday for medical tests before sealing the switch to the Wanda Metropolitano. According to Football Italia, Atalanta will receive €35m plus up to €5m in add-ons and Lookman will earn €7m a year.

Lookman scored 55 goals in 137 games for Atalanta. He hit a historic hat-trick in the 2024 Europa League final to beat Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen 3-0, delivering La Dea’s first UEFA trophy. He spent the last three and a half years with Atalanta.

This season he has three goals and two assists in 19 appearances. He had recently returned to the club from Nigeria duty at AFCON.

The Percassi and Pagliuca families and the club bade farewell to Lookman, offering thanks and best wishes for the future.

The clubs effectively exchanged strikers in January, with Atalanta previously signing Giacomo Raspadori from the Colchoneros.
