FC Lorient will be hoping for a similar result in the Derby Breton as the last time they played Stade Rennais. Lorient won 4-0 against their rivals after Rennes picked up two red cards within the first ten minutes of the match back in August.
Lorient have been on a good run of form that sees them ten points clear of AJ Auxerre and FC Metz in the automatic relegation spots and eight points ahead of FC Nantes in the relegation playoff spot. Head coach Olivier Pantaloni is without Abdoulaye Faye, Panos Katseris, Darlin Yongwa, Mohamed Bamba, and Tosin Aiyegun.
Bamba Dieng is likely to lead the attack for Lorient this afternoon and will be looking to score in his third consecutive game. It will only be his second start of the season, with his first coming last weekend in the 3-1 win over AS Monaco.
Yvon Mvogo; Igor Silva, Montassar Talbi, Bamo Meïtél; Arsène Kouassi, Laurent Abergel, Arthur Avom Ebong; Théo Le Bris; Pablo Pagis, Bamba Dieng, Jean-Victor Makengo. (L’Éq)
