Lotte Wubben-Moy continues to partner Steph Catley in the Arsenal defence as they prepare to take on Bayern Munich in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
In fact, the Gunners head coach Renee Slegers has made no changes from the starting line-up from Saturday’s Barclays Women’s Super League match against Chelsea.
Slegers had said on Tuesday that she was selecting from the same squad, with no additional injuries to report.
The match kicks off at 5.45pm UK time on Wednesday.
Arsenal: Daphne van Domselaar, Emily Fox, Lotte Wubben-Moy, Steph Catley (captain), Katie McCabe, Mariona Caldentey, Victoria Pelova, Alessia Russo, Beth Mead, Caitlin Foord, Stina Blackstenius.
Substitutes: Anneke Borbe, Amy Liddiard, Laia Codina, Taylor Hinds, Jenna Nighswonger, Sophie Harwood, Kyra Cooney-Cross, Frida Maanum, Chloe Kelly, Olivia Smith.
Slegers had already confirmed that Steph Catley would continue to wear the captain’s armband in the absence of both Kim Little and Leah Williamson.
She had explained in her pre-match press conference that Little and Williamson are the team’s “two captains”, and Catley was part of the “captaincy group” with Katie McCabe and Lotte Wubben-Moy.
Slegers had also commented on Wubben-Moy stepping into the starting eleven after the ACL injury suffered by Katie Reid, saying: “If you’re in a row of games where you haven’t played so much but then your moment comes, you have to be ready.
“Probably the team that starts the season is not the team that finishes the season. Then you have all these moments in between. But I think it says everything about Lotte and her professionalism. She is so ready to perform.”
