Cristiano Ronaldo still hopes to share a pitch with his eldest son, Cristiano Junior, and Louis Saha says football makes that ambition more attainable than the NBA example set by LeBron James.
“I do think that it is probably, maybe, easier to do that in football than it is in the NBA because of the amount of players that are allowed to be in that division.”
He told Goal.com while speaking in association with Wiz Slots.
“Having a name like Cristiano, you can have a bit of a say on certain things. I would be very thrilled because that's a dream come true for any parent to have this opportunity, to have his son become a professional. It's already an achievement and that would be the cherry on the cake.”
Junior is set to turn 16 in June and has followed his father through academies in Europe and the Middle East, while also featuring for Portugal at youth level. It has been suggested that Al-Nassr are ready to promote him to the senior squad.
Ronaldo is on the most lucrative contract in world football and has a year left on his Al-Nassr deal, so the next 12 months could offer the chance for a family debut.
