Lucas Paquetá talks between Flamengo and West Ham stall over structure and timing | OneFootball

Flamengo are negotiating the signing of Lucas Paquetá from West Ham, but talks are currently stalled over fee structure, release timing and payment terms.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the clubs had an agreement on a €40 million fee, R$ 248 million, yet the breakdown between guaranteed sums and bonuses remains unresolved.

Flamengo's offer stands at €35 million guaranteed, R$ 217 million, plus €5 million, R$ 31 million, in bonuses. West Ham were not satisfied with the ratio between fixed and variable sums.

Another point is timing. West Ham want Paquetá to remain at least until June, the end of the European season, while Flamengo are pushing for his arrival in this window.

Talks are continuing and Flamengo remain optimistic about completing a deal. The midfielder wants to return and has informed West Ham of his intention to rejoin Flamengo.
