One month after lifting the Gauchão at Beira-Rio on 8 March, Grêmio return there on Saturday at 20:30 for Gre-Nal 452 under pressure, according to Globo.com.
A home draw with Remo despite a man advantage, then a 1-0 loss to Montevideo City Torque on 8 April, has intensified scrutiny. Supporters booed both games, and Weverton impressed.
In Montevideo, Luís Castro accepted that confidence fades without results, but said he still trusts his work.
Since the title, seven games have yielded one win, three draws and three defeats, a 28.5% return. The season rate is 47%.
Directors want an immediate reaction, yet away form is troubling, six losses and three draws in the last nine. The most recent away win was on 21 January at Guarany de Bagé.
Castro has leaned on the academy to create saleable assets and ease strained finances. Against City Torque, 10 of the 25 were homegrown, and Riquelme, from the under-20s, started.
First-choice centre-backs Gustavo Martins and Viery are academy graduates. Zortéa and left-back Pedro Gabriel started against Remo amid injuries to Leo Pérez and Marlon, and Gabriel Mec, Roger and Tiaguinho have also had chances in 2026.
In midfield, at least six players have missed games, including Arthur, Noriega, Leo Pérez, Dodi, Willian and Zortéa. For Inter, Gustavo Martins, Viery, Pavon and Carlos Vinicius return after being rested, while Pedro Gabriel, Arthur, Monsalve and Amuzu should also start.
