Paris Saint-Germain have taken an important step in their pursuit of Ferran Torres, with the French champions already presenting the Barcelona forward’s representatives with a clear vision of the role he would play under Luis Enrique.
It must be remembered that PSG’s move for Ferran Torres is being driven by Luis Enrique himself, who is eager to reunite with a player he knows well from their time together with Spain.
The PSG manager believes the Barcelona star’s versatility and tactical intelligence could be extremely useful in their European title defence.
According to SPORT, discussions have already taken place between PSG and the player’s camp.
While there is still no agreement and no direct negotiations with Barcelona, the Ligue 1 champions have explained exactly how they see the Spain international contributing if he decides to move to Paris.

Luis Enrique’s idea is built around a formula that proved highly effective during PSG’s successful campaign last season.
Following Goncalo Ramos’ departure to AC Milan, PSG are searching for an attacker capable of making a strong impact from the bench while also playing an important role across a demanding season.
Rather than being viewed as a conventional backup, Ferran would become the first attacking option in the squad’s rotation, regularly featuring in important matches and providing energy during the closing stages.
The role would typically involve appearances of between 15 and 25 minutes in high-profile fixtures, although the expectation within PSG is that he would accumulate enough playing time to remain an influential member of the squad.
Notably, Enrique’s confidence in the Barcelona forward comes from years of familiarity.
During his time in charge of Spain, he helped redefine Ferran’s role by using him through the middle as well as out wide, appreciating not only his movement but also his work rate.
For now, Barcelona’s position remains unchanged.

The club is aware of PSG’s interest, but there is little point in discussing transfer terms until Ferran decides whether he is prepared to leave Camp Nou.
Any formal negotiations between the two clubs depend entirely on the player’s response to the project presented by Luis Enrique.
Should Ferran give his approval, Barcelona would be prepared to open talks over a transfer, although the financial aspect could become the biggest obstacle.
On that note, the Catalan club currently value the 26-year-old at around €50 million, a figure that PSG are not believed to be willing to match.
That gap suggests any future discussions would require compromise if the transfer is to progress.
