Former Benfica president Luís Filipe Vieira broke his arm after a fall at the Campus da Justiça following the reading of the verdict in the "Saco Azul" case.

According to Record, the 76-year-old businessman sustained a fracture to his right arm, specifically at the elbow, and the limb has been immobilised in plaster as his recovery begins.

The fall happened on a staircase where he lost his footing and went down awkwardly. He managed to stand and leave under his own steam, although in visible discomfort.

As time passed, the pain increased markedly, prompting him to seek medical assessment. Doctors then confirmed the injury was more serious than first thought.

The episode came immediately after his acquittal in the case, which also involved Rui Costa and Domingos Soares de Oliveira. It ended up defining the day for different reasons.
