Luis Palma is on the verge of a loan move to La Liga side Rayo Vallecano with talk of an option to buy clause set at £2.1m included within the deal.
The Honduran has struggled for game time this campaign and very much looks like a player low on confidence and not really happy at Celtic, so a move is best for all parties.
Luis Palma made an impact against Dundee United last night as he was involved in our crucial second goal, but in all honestly he’s not what Brendan Rodgers requires as an attacker. The Honduran international is a decent player, but he lacks the confidence and pace to take on a player, and his work rate is also questionable, so it’s will come as no surprise to see him make the move.

That’s not a slight on the player, as he seems like a decent lad and he hasn’t exactly been a let down, but some times certain players don’t fit certain clubs, and Luis and Celtic is a good example of that.
I’m sure Luis will do well in Spain if he makes the move, something that will do him the world of good. He’ll like the weather much more than our -6 last night and he’ll also find the pace of he game more to his liking. And Brendan can look to replace Palma with a player who fits his own philosophy.

Everyone’s a winner here and we wish Luis all the best when he gets the move he is after.
