Zenit have seen a €31 million bid for Vasco forward Rayan, a breakout in the Brasileirão and 2025 Copa do Brasil top scorer, rejected. The Rio club are holding out for €50 million.

According to Globo.com, the offer is worth about R$ 200 million, more than Zenit paid for Gerson and close to their outlay on Luiz Henrique.

This season the Russian club signed Luiz Henrique from Botafogo for €35 million in January. Six months later they triggered Gerson’s €25 million release clause at Flamengo.

In January 2022 they paid €25 million to take Yuri Alberto from Internacional, the striker now plays for Corinthians. In January last year they signed Artur from Palmeiras for €15 million, the forward now plays for Botafogo.

The biggest transfer in Zenit’s history in absolute terms remains Hulk’s move from Porto for €60 million.

In 2025 their interest extended beyond Brazilians to foreign players based in Brazil. Flamengo rejected a R$ 150 million offer for Wesley, and Cruzeiro’s Matheus Pereira came close to a R$ 100 million move.

Fluminense turned down more than one bid for Arias, and Corinthians refused R$ 148 million for Garro. The most recent case was Richard Ríos, a Colombian developed in Brazil with Flamengo, Guarani and Palmeiras.

Zenit offered more than €29 million, about R$ 190 million, to Palmeiras for Ríos, but the midfielder declined. He was sold to Benfica for €30 million.
